PORT HAWKESBURY: Emma Crispo and Jacob Pinkos represented the Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team (PHAST) with Swim Nova Scotia at 2019 Maine LRSC Winter Champs Trials Meet in Bath, Maine from March 8-10.
“The Swim Nova Scotia Maine tour team is an annual event for competitive swimmers ages 11-15,” said head coach Rob Allen. “The meet places 40+ swimmers from around the province on a tour that allows them to compete against swimmers from North Eastern USA in their first major swim meet.
“The purpose of the competition is for increased competition and performances, but also teaching the young athletes what is required to be on select teams, travel, and working with provincial coaches.”
Crispo and Pinkos had a fantastic experience.
Crispo dropped seconds in many events and took second in the 100-yard Breaststroke.
Pinkos swam to third in the 50-yard Freestyle while dropping time in several other events.
PHAST would like to thank Swim Nova Scotia for their excellent work with this event that has inspired and motivated several of PHAST’s finest swimmers over the years.
