Man arrested, drugs seized

WAYCOBAH: A man was arrested and charged after police found drugs in a residence earlier this week.

At approximately 5 p.m. on January 24, Inverness County District RCMP searched a home in Waycobah. A 31-year-old man was arrested without incident. A quantity of cocaine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia was seized from the home.

The man, who is from the Waycobah First Nation, was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on February 26. He is facing a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
