The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by sisters Myrna, Lurline, Gwen, Mildred and Katheline; brothers Kenny, Bowden and Dewey. She is survived by her sons David (Merle) O’Laughlin, Alan (Darlene) O’Laughlin, grandchildren Kelly, Jessica, Brittany, Jonathan and Breanne, great grandchildren Tyler, Justin and Piper; sister in law Sadie Murphy. Special thank you to Drs. Collins, Pluta and Hanspal  and the staff at Strait Richmond Hospital and St. Martha’s Hospital, the paramedics for their prompt professional services and especially the nursing staff of Strait Richmond Hospital for the kindness and care Mom received in her final days.  A graveside service was held on Monday at the Union Protestant Cemetery, Port Hood, and a reception  followed at the St. Stephen United Church Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Hospital or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
