PORT HOOD: The Cape Breton West Islanders made it 12-0 in league play last Thursday when the local Major Midgets visited the Cape Breton Tradesmen.
Outshooting the hosts 63-10, the Islanders managed to expand their record to a perfect 12-0. The final was 6-2.
Ewan MacDonald got the win in net, with Craig Ryan managing two goals and an assist on offense. Jacob Stewart had three helpers, and Stephen Fox had a goal an and assist. Avery Warner, Jacob Hudson, and Sean Stewart all had a goal, and assists were managed by Ryan MacLellan, Logan Timmons, and Logan Chisholm.
The Islanders will visit Pictou this Friday night and, on Sunday, the guys return to the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood for a noon start against the Halifax McDonalds.
