CANSO: The Canso Lions Club completed another successful project.
On October 27, 10 members of the Canso Lions Club met at 7:30 p.m. to unload 216 boxes of cod tongues, haddock fillets and haddock loins representing fish orders from Guysborough residents during the recent Fall Fish Sale.
The Lions sorted the fish orders then loaded two trucks for delivery around Guysborough County and local residents from the Canso area picked up their orders at the Canso Lions Club. The delivery and pickups were completed by 1 p.m. proving that many Lions make a project possible. The Canso Lions Club would like to thank the public for their support.
A second fish sale will be held in the spring of 2017.
