The final jam session of the Highland Guitar Society was a family affair for longtime society members Patrick Lamey and Heather Richards of Port Hawkesbury, who were joined by their daughter Charlotte Richards-Lamey for the three-hour musical celebration on December 11 at the Judique Community Centre.
During the final Highland Guitar Society jam session held at the Judique Community Centre on December11, Bill and Leona MacDonald, who have hosted the musical get-togethers since early 1998, were presented with this plaque by members of the society’s board of directors. The MacDonalds were also saluted by the Judique venue’s board of directors and Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster.Inverness County journalist, singer and songwriter John Gillis shared one of his favourite Fred Eaglesmith songs, “White Rose,” during the final jam session held by the Highland Guitar Society at the Judique Community Centre. The three-hour musical celebration took place on December 11.Longtime Highland Guitar Society MC Bill MacDonald provided backup for Marie Aucoin of Cheticamp, who sang “The Briar and The Rose” during the society’s final jam session, which took place on December 11 at the Judique Community Centre.
