ANTIGONISH: Running back Jordan Socholotiuk of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Oct. 9.
A third-year human kinetics student from Waterford, Ont., Socholotiuk earned Subway player of the game honours Friday as StFX topped Acadia 42-21 in Antigonish.
He rushed for 196 yards on 17 carries, averaging 11.5 yards/carry, including a 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. His stats also included two receptions for two yards.
Socholotiuk currently leads the AUS in rushing, averaging 119.2 yards per game and 5.9 yards per carry. He is second in the conference in all-purpose yards with 131.2 per game.
