Visitors to a volunteer-run table had the opportunity to help with the first planters of the season for the Helping Hands Community Garden at the Richmond Villa. The Richmond Highlanders dance troupe entertained during the Easter Fun Day festivities in St. Peter’s on April 19. Undaunted by the rain, attendees of the Easter Fun Day event in St. Peter’s went out in search of more than 6,000 eggs. The family of Kyden Stevens, 5, offered their appreciation to the Children’s Wish Foundation for a recent wish trip to Florida. He was joined on stage by his father Brad Stevens (at microphone), his mother Cherese Stevens and his sister Temeka Stevens. Nevaeh Martell was among the musical performers at the Lions Hall in St. Peter’s on April 19. The St. Peter’s Royal Bank branch presented a $1,000 donation to the Children’s Wish Foundation on Good Friday during the Easter Fun Day event, which raised an additional $1,300 for the organization. Event organizer Shanna Burke (at microphone) accepted the donation. Richard Polchies spent some time at one of the craft tables at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall on April 19. The Island Steppers offered a performance during the later portion of the Easter Fun Day event in St. Peter’s last Friday.
