POTLOTEK: A L’Ardoise man is facing a number of charges following an incident late last month.

RCMP charged Jeremy Nathan Murray with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, criminal harassment, uttering threats, and mischief under $5,000.

On October 30, Murray appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court, where he is set to return on November 27 for election on plea to the charges.

The charges stem from an incident in Potlotek on October 28. A release from the police stated a man arrived at a woman’s residence in his vehicle before taking the woman’s phone and returning to his vehicle. Police said the woman tried to get her phone back but the man refused and tried backing out of the driveway. The woman’s legs went under the front wheel of the car, stated police, and the woman suffered what they referred to as moderate injuries but did not require a hospital stay.

RCMP arrested Murray arrested the following day.
