Pirate Alumni to host the Habs

PORT HAWKESBURY: The Strait Pirate alumni will take to the ice on March 31 to battle some of the all time greats as the Montreal Canadiens alumni visit the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.

The game is part of the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Tour. It’s in support of the ROC Centre and is presented by Canadian Tire. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

Ticket holders will be put in a draw for the Shoot to Win contest during the second intermission. The prize is a new 2017 Toyota Corolla from Tri-Mac Toyota or $20,000.

VIP tickets are available, and those tickets allow fans to meet and greet the Canadiens before the game (from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.). VIP ticket holders are also entered into the Shoot to Win contest.

The game will also feature a special Chuck-a-Puck contest for a chance to visit the Canadiens Alumni in the dressing room, a 50/50 draw, and other exciting promotions and giveaways.

The evening will wrap up with a pub night as Andre Pettipas and the Giants will rock the Bear Head Room from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The pub is open to persons aged 19-and-over, and those who hold onto their ticket stubs from the game will save two dollars on admission.

Visiting Canadiens include Richard Sévigny, Gilles Thibaudeau, Patrice Brisebois, Simon Gagné, Oleg Petrov, John Chabot, Chris Nilan, Arron Asham, Stephane Richer, and coach Yvon Lambert.
