Suspect steals ‘large amount of cash’ from local business

WEST ARICHAT: The police are investigating the theft of money from a local business last weekend.

On January 11 shortly after 6 a.m., Richmond County RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at The Groundswell Pub in D’Escousse. 

Although the suspect was gone by the time police arrived, surveillance video shows the suspect was wearing a coat with fur trim, a mask and gloves. They entered the business and stole a “large amount of cash” from the register, according to the RCMP.
