Junior X-Women take provincial basketball title

The Junior X-Women Under-12 basketball team took the Basketball Nova Scotia Division 4 championship on the weekend of May 6-8. Team members are: Gracie Cleary; Abby Cowan; Taylor Keats; Elizabeth Marshall; Ali Chisholm; Ella Robinson; Edyn McFarlane; Bridgette Whitty; Sadie Hines; Lia Wasserman; Kate Spencer; Ava Heighton; and Sophie Fougere. The coaches are: Gail MacDougall (head coach), Shawn Whitty, Nicole Cleary, Katie MacNeil, and Gemma MacPherson.

ANTIGONISH: The Junior X-Women Under-12 basketball team – comprised of players from Antigonish, Port Hawkesbury and Guysborough – won the Basketball Nova Scotia Division 4 championship on May 8 at CEC High School in Truro.
