Three years ago this week, in the last issue of The Reporter before the 2013 provincial election, Liberal candidate Michel Samson wrote a letter that was about the loss of pension income to the workers at the Point Tupper paper mill.

In it, he said “A new Liberal government will assemble a working group of MLAs, senior bureaucrats and representatives from the community to engage the union and retires in exploring possible solutions.”

Three years and still counting.

So was Mr. Samson sincere about his wish to help the pensioners or was he just fishing for votes. What do you think?
