ANTIGONISH: The Nova Major Bantam hockey team will be holding its Spring Identification Camp early next month.
This identification camp is open to all Bantam-aged players for the 2019-2020 hockey season who are members of the Antigonish Minor Hockey Association, the Strait-Richmond Minor Hockey Association, or the Cape Breton West Minor Hockey Association. From this camp, a list of players will be identified and invited to final tryouts and our Training Camp in August.
All first year Bantam players in the 2019-2020 season are required to attend a
Hockey Nova Scotia approved checking clinic prior to participating in any Major
Bantam Spring Identification Camp. Any first year Bantams or players have not
participated in a Hockey Nova Scotia approved checking clinic and are intent on
attending the Nova Major Bantam Hockey Spring Identification Camp, are required
to attend a checking clinic.
The Novas checking clinic is scheduled for May 3 at the St. Andrew Junior School in Antigonish and May 6 at the Antigonish Arena. This clinic is not required for goaltenders.

Regulations of the Nova Scotia
Major Bantam Hockey League require all registration forms must be received
by the Nova Major Bantam Hockey Team and submitted to Hockey Nova Scotia
prior to any player participating in the 2019 Spring Identification Camp. A
player will not be permitted to participate in any aspect of the Checking
Clinic or Spring Identification Camp until registration is received and
submitted to Hockey Nova Scotia.
Additionally, Players must try out for the team within the region in which the
player resides. Failure to participate in the identification camp of the team
within the player’s residential region results in the player being ineligible
to participate in Major Bantam Hockey in the province of Nova Scotia.
