Hi! My name is Ezra and I’m 8.5 years old. I wanted to write about one of my favourite days of the year – May the 4th!
May the 4th is Star Wars Day because it sounds like “May the Force be with you,” which is something the Jedi say in the movies. I love this day because I get to wear my Darth Vader costume, make lightsabers out of pool noodles with my friends, and watch The Empire Strikes Back with my dad.
But Star Wars isn’t just about space and lightsabers – it’s about being brave, helping your friends, and never giving up, even when things are hard. I think that’s pretty cool, and I try to remember that when I have a tough day at school.
I hope more people celebrate May the 4th because it’s fun and it brings people together. Plus, who doesn’t want to pretend they’re in a galaxy far, far away?
