ANTIGONISH: In an exciting move to enhance innovation and foster economic growth, St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) has partnered with IGNITE Atlantic to strengthen ties between academia and industry in Pictou County.
This partnership aims to create new opportunities for collaboration among researchers, students, businesses, and community organizations, ultimately driving progress across the region.
The initiative is focused on several key areas including, raising awareness of StFX’s research expertise and technical resources to support business growth, building connections between StFX researchers and local businesses to tackle challenges and drive innovation, and expanding on opportunities for student placements, internships, and work-integrated learning programs.
Additionally, it will host networking events and workshops that connect faculty with businesses, non-profits, and community organizations.
Furthermore, it will encourage the use of IGNITE’s space for StFX-led research and community engagement activities.
