ANTIGONISH: In less than 24 hours, RCMP Eastern Traffic Services charged two men with stunting.
At approximately 4 p.m. on December 3, RCMP Eastern Traffic Services clocked a vehicle on Highway 337 in Antigonish travelling 52 kilometres an hour (km/h) over the posted speed limit at 132 km/h in an 80 km/hr zone. Police arrested a 48-year-old man for stunting.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on December 4, RCMP Eastern Traffic Services saw a different vehicle on Highway 104 in Monastery travelling 59 km/hr over the posted speed limit at 159 km/h in an 100 km/hr zone. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for stunting.
Both drivers have been charged with stunting. Their licenses were suspended for seven days and their vehicles were seized.
