Conservatives fighting for jobs and lower taxes

Now that the Parliamentary session has wrapped-up one thing is clear, Justin Trudeau and his Liberal government are failing Nova Scotians.

More than 90 per cent of hardworking Canadians are now paying more in tax. What’s worse is that this doesn’t even take into account all of the other new taxes that Canadians will face like the Liberals’ carbon tax, which – according to independent studies — could cost the average family more than $2,500 a year.

Conservatives demanded Justin Trudeau reveal the true cost of his carbon tax. He refused, over and over. He doesn’t think that Nova Scotians deserve to know the truth.

As if costs weren’t high enough, Justin Trudeau is also planning to use taxpayer dollars to buy the Trans Mountain pipeline project – forcing Canadians to pay $4.5 billion for his failure to champion Canada’s natural resource sector. This is the same Prime Minister that killed the Energy East pipeline.

And in the midst of more Liberal red tape and higher taxes, investment and jobs are leaving Canada, hurting our workers and communities.

These failures are why Canadians are sending a clear message: it’s time for an alternative to Justin Trudeau’s irresponsible government.

Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives have a positive vision, one that actually recognizes and responds to the challenges hardworking Nova Scotians face every day. We will continue to fight for lower taxes and for projects and policies that will strengthen our economy.
