POMQUET: The Pomquet Acadians are the AGR fastpitch league champs for 2017.
The guys won the championship by dropping the Guysborough Broadhorns 2-0 in the final game of the championship tournament on August 26.
Mark Dort and Robbie Doiron homered for the champs. Donnelly Archibald was the winning pitcher, and Corey Avery took the loss for Guysborough.
