Petit de Grat Red Cap Maurice Boudreau was a big winner when it came to the RABA 2017 league awards, as he was named the league MVP and the league’s outstanding defensive player. Boudreau also earned a place on the league’s all star team at shortstop.

STRAIT AREA: The Richmond Amateur Baseball Association (RABA) recently announced its major award winners and league all stars for 2017.
Maurice Boudreau of the Petit de Grat Red Caps was a big winner, as he was named the league MVP and the league’s outstanding defensive player. Peter Clow was another big winner, as the Port Hawkesbury Buc was named top pitcher.
Shawn Samson, bench boss of the Isle Madame Mariners, was named coach of the year.
All six teams saw players earn a place on the team, with Little Anse leading the player count with three players on the squad. The Port Hawkesbury Bucs had a pair, and the four other teams had a player each.
