WAYCOBAH: Port Hawkesbury RCMP are investigating a two vehicle collision that happened Sunday morning on Highway 105 in Waycobah.

At approximately 7:10 a.m., a transport truck struck an unoccupied vehicle that was parked on the road. The transport truck then “jack-knifed,” hit a guard rail and came to rest upright just short of the lake.

The male driver and lone occupant was able to remove himself from the truck and was then transported by EHS to Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck prior to police arrival. The driver was released from hospital with no injuries.

Motorists should expect delays for several hours as crews remove debris.
