JUDIQUE: On July 13 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Inverness County District RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a report of an ATV rollover in the ditch along the 5000 block of Highway 19 in Judique.

One individual sustained upper-body injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in any video or details showing the moments leading up to, during, or immediately following the crash.

In a post shared to Facebook, one individual who claimed to be an eyewitness described what occurred.

“Two 4 wheelers and a side by side left the store racing on the pavement headed northbound,” the post stated. “They almost ran an oncoming car off the road as they were racing side by side and taking up most of the road. Not even a kilometer later, the side by side crashed and flipped over leaving a young lady injured and unconscious on the side of the road.”

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the Inverness County District RCMP at 902-258-2213.
